With almost thirty years’ experience teaching and performing across the Canberra region and beyond, Warehouse Circus is one of Australia’s finest youth circus organisations. We help young people find a means through which to experiment, grow and express themselves creatively and physically. Come and learn juggling, acrobatics, stilt walking, hula hoop, plate spinning, staff, poi, trick sticks, diabolo, trapeze (static and flying), lyra, tissu, German wheel, unicycle, mini tramp, adagio and stacks more! We currently run a wide range of classes specifically designed for people with disabilities, dubbed out Spin Out classes. Spin Out is run by our highly qualified circus trainers, who have extensive experience in teaching circus to all ages and abilities as well as specific training in ASD, Occupational Therapy (OT), and Holistic Circus Therapy. Spin Out began in 2013 as an in school project at Black Mountain and Woden schools. The project was funded for one year by the ACT Government and involved the delivery of circus programs throughout the school term, professional development for staff and the modification of training methods to cater for the diverse needs of the groups. Spin Out extended to include adults with ASD through a partnership with Sharing Places. The program now include an afterschool youth class, three adult specfic classes and 8 Highschool classes per week. The program is proudly supported by ACT Health.
